BELOVED
“It’s only a question, If someone bring it up… so I’m pushing it down and praying”. -Lizzy McAlpine
Lilacs bare the stare of wonder, wandering through the realm of Artemis’s virtue. An echo puckered in the depths of our flesh. And as the grasp of your shadow embraces mine, I see you for you for who you truly are.
An anomaly.
Our life wasn’t meant for this earth, but still we bark upon this path with our bare skin and glitter gloss. Secrets horde our lust, our love, and yet here we stand proud in desire.
I watch as you linger in the mist of our undoing. We’ll surely go to hell- but so will the coin toss.
Love is the almighty. The rapture we seek, the genocide we lust, the hair we braid.
But in the hymns that whimper… one by one, fear snakes the room. And as I stand shallow in the periphery of a father on his daughter’s bittersweet sixteen birthday.
I know the end is near.
Love is a mistaken miracle in which I make my bed in. For I lick the lips of a heart-wave upon heart-wave, for her silklike skin reaps in the remedy of beloved and beloved she is.
